Goodboy Galaxy Dev Blog Update 3 (July 2026)

Hello gang,

I hope you are all doing great and have managed to survive or enjoy the latest adventures bestowed on humanity such as hot weather or sports event. (It's true, I don't really know how to write an intro, but I'll never get AI to do it!)... ANYWAY, ANYWAY we've made such a huge amount of progress now, so here's the rundown of where we are as of today:

GBA Physical Update

All items are in stock in Reef's warehouse, and they are currently finishing assembly on all the standard editions containing:

Game box, cartridge, cartridge case, sticker sheet, manual, double-sided poster and token. The special editions (with the extra stickers, iron-on patches, OST CD and mini-artbook) are not far behind.

For 'early bird' backers we're also including Maxwell's Friendship Card (which is a USB drive card loaded with the ROM, wallpapers, etc.) All in all, we’re very close to being able to start the shipping process, and will have more news on that soon.

Nintendo Switch eShop codes

We sent out codes for most regions already a week or so ago, but unfortunately the US region's codes took a while to be activated. That is finally sorted out and the US codes are getting emailed from Monday (27th). As a reminder, the release date is not until October but with the eShop code you can play right away - hope you enjoy the game!

Didn't get your eShop code?

If you're from the US, we're sending in batches, so it could take a few days - keep your nose peeled next week for an email from goodboygalaxy@bitmapbureau.com. Everyone else who backed the Switch Digital tier should have already received their code a week or two ago. If you can't find it in your inbox, DM me and I'll send it directly as soon as I can.

Nintendo Switch Physical Update

Switch boxed copies are also in stock ready to be prepared for shipping, take a look! As well as the box, game card and manual, Kickstarter backers will also get the token, sticker sheet and double-sided poster.
